Junior Justice Club
As we all know, unless otherwise taught, children tend to be fairly self-centered - we all were in our youth and had to learn how to become caring, loving human beings. Our mission as educators and parents is to assist children, especially pre-teens and teens, to develop kindness and empathy for others; so many people are in need of love and assistance. This year Mrs. Gent, Mrs. Moberg and Mrs. McLaughlin, chair of our parish's Social Justice Committee are hoping to develop a Junior Justice Club for interested students. Our goal is to develop appropriate attitudes toward social justic eissues and to organize ways for students tow ork together onv arious activities which will not only teach those involved right attitudes, but help people in need.
We have a long a list of things young people can do to help others; some to assist single mothers, others to honor those murdered in Buffalo this year or to encourage working to save the environment. When we know how many students are interested, we will be meeting with them to decide which activities they wish to work on this year. This will not involve any monetary contribution from them, but may involve some small fund-raising activities. We will keep this at a minimum and it will involve the work of the students rather than of their parents.

Spanish Club
The Spanish Club activities will include suggestions from students along with those of the teacher (Mrs. Marianela Lyons). They will center on student interests and shared ideas. Cooking may be included!

Yearbook Club
Ms. Gonsiorek and select 8th grade students work to take candid pictures for collage pages, and compile the yearbook for printing.
